Love Languages in Friendship
When they wait for you while you fix your shoelaces. When they encourage you to keep telling your story even though the others got distracted. When they keep eye contact and nod along while listening to what you have to say. When they move over so you can sit beside them. When they want to buy something and ask if you want it too. When they pat your shoulder or squeeze your hand to comfort you. When they make sure that you arrive home safely. When they laugh at your jokes when the others don’t. When they voluntarily do crazy things with you… and laugh with you…and cry with you. When they respect your decisions. When they make you feel safe enough to be yourself. That’s when you know you are with your people. Keep them in your life; they will be the best things that ever happen to you.
